Other than practicing medicine, we maintain active programmes in education and charity. We are actively involved in the Matilda Children’s Foundation and MedArt’s China Orphan Outreach programme. These programs offer free surgeries to children with complex conditions.
MedArt
MedArt was formed in 2003 by a group of doctors with a passion for music, and a few professional musicians, with a mission to bring care and comfort to those in long-term confinement in Hong Kong. MedArt performs regularly in prisons, psychiatric hospitals, hospices and similar institutions, bringing joy and serenity of music directly to those confined there.
China Orphan Outreach Programme
In 2005 MedArt undertook its most challenging initiative – China Orphan Outreach. The programme was developed to provide medical and surgical care to Chinese orphans with life-threatening medical conditions.
Matilda Children’s Foundation
In 2003 The Matilda International Hospital Children’s Foundation was set up to provide help and comfort to children who require life-changing surgery and have no other means of receiving care.
